About Us

Welcome Qi Lin Traditional Chinese Medicine

I’m Keith Dowling. I’m a fully qualified and licensed Acupuncturist and Tui Na therapist. I graduated from the acupuncture foundation of Ireland and completed my clinical internship in Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1997. Since then I have studied balance method acupuncture with Si Yuan and ear acupuncture with Acupuncturists without borders.

I’m sure everybody has heard of acupuncture at some stage but let me give you some quick details of what it is and what we do

What can we treat (just the quick highlights):

  • Foot pain

  • Back pain

  • Sciatica

  • Migraine

  • Hay fever

  • Digestive problems

  • Anxiety

  • Fertility

  • Insomnia

Full list of WHO categories can be found here

How do we treat:

I have a number of methods but primarily we use extremely fine needles. For those who are not great with needles, I do offer treatments with a electro stim pen.

Where do those needle go:

There are acu points all over the body, however with the style I practice, the majority are on the arms legs and scalp. (no disrobing needed)

Other Therapies:

Children’s Tuina massage.:

this is a brisk but light massage for children under six. It is very common in China and treats many patterns that acupuncture treats

Electro Stim Pen:

uses a pezo electric pulse to stimulate the points. generally used with children and adults that are just getting used to needles

Moxibustion is the burning of herbs on different parts of the skin. Extremely good for tonification and warming. (private appointment only)

Vacuum cups placed on the skin to promote healing, blood flow and separating the fascial layer
